IWCN History
The International Workshop on Computational Nanotechnology (IWCN) continues a long-running international workshop series dedicated to computational approaches for electronic transport, semiconductor devices, nanostructures, nanomaterials, and nanodevices.
From IWCE to IWCN
The conference series started in 1992 under the name International Workshop on Computational Electronics (IWCE). Over time, the scientific scope expanded from computational electronics toward a broader range of nanoscale materials, devices, and simulation methods.
The workshop later adopted the name International Workshop on Computational Nanotechnology (IWCN), reflecting the increasing importance of nanostructures, nanodevices, high-performance electronics, photonics, and interdisciplinary simulation-based research.

| 2029 | IWCN is planned to take place in Dortmund, Germany. |
Previous Editions
The IWCN/IWCE series has been hosted by institutions and organizers in Europe, North America, and Asia. The international rotation of the workshop reflects its role as a meeting point for the global computational nanotechnology and device simulation community.
IWCN 2029 in Dortmund
IWCN 2029 is planned to continue this tradition in Dortmund, Germany. The workshop will bring together researchers working on computational nanotechnology, nanoscale devices, transport phenomena, materials modelling, and related simulation methods.
